Quran Distribution Enriches Islamic Education at Umar Ibn Khattab Primary School

Strengthening the foundation of Islamic education, Humanity Bridge successfully conducted a meaningful Quran distribution ceremony at Umar Ibn Khattab Primary School in Bujiri, reaching over 200 students with essential religious texts.

This initiative, realized through our ongoing partnership with Beyazgül Derneği from Turkey, provided high-quality Arabic Quran copies along with translations to support students in their religious studies. The distribution ceremony was attended by school administrators, teachers, parents, and community leaders who expressed deep gratitude for this valuable contribution to Islamic education.

"The Holy Quran is the foundation of our faith and education. By providing these texts, we're ensuring that our children have direct access to divine guidance and can strengthen their connection with Allah," said the school's headteacher during the ceremony at Umar Ibn Khattab Primary School.

Our field operatives worked closely with the school administration in Bujiri to identify students who would benefit most from receiving personal copies of the Quran. Priority was given to students from families facing financial constraints who could not afford to purchase religious texts.

The initiative goes beyond mere distribution – it represents our commitment to nurturing the spiritual and moral development of young Muslims in Uganda. Each Quran came with basic reading guides and was presented in a respectful ceremony that emphasized the sacred nature of the text.

"Seeing the joy and reverence in these children's eyes as they received their Quran copies at Umar Ibn Khattab Primary School reminded us of the profound impact of supporting Islamic education," shared Field Operative Ashraf Mukuve, who coordinated the distribution in Bujiri.
