Joyous Eid al-Adha Celebrations Unite Community in Bugodo, Bugiri District

The blessed occasion of Eid al-Adha 2025 was celebrated with exceptional joy and unity in Bugodo village, Bugiri District, as Humanity Bridge organized a comprehensive community celebration that brought together over 400 Muslims from surrounding areas.

The celebration, held in collaboration with local Islamic leadership and our Turkish partners Beyazgül Derneği, transformed the village center into a vibrant hub of Islamic fellowship, featuring communal prayers, traditional feast, and extensive charitable distributions in Bugodo.

The day began with Fajr prayers followed by special Eid prayers led by local Imam Sheikh Abdullah Mukasa, who delivered an inspiring sermon emphasizing the values of gratitude, charity, and community solidarity. The prayer gathering included men, women, and children from across Bugiri District.

"Eid al-Adha reminds us of Prophet Ibrahim's sacrifice and devotion – it's about strengthening our bonds as an ummah and ensuring no one is left behind in our joy," reflected the Imam during his address to the gathered faithful in Bugodo.

Following prayers, the community participated in a traditional Eid feast featuring local delicacies prepared by volunteers. The meal served over 400 people, ensuring that even the most vulnerable families in Bugodo could participate fully in the celebration without financial burden.

Our team distributed Eid gifts and clothing to over 150 children, prioritizing orphans and children from single-parent households. The celebration concluded with evening prayers and community commitment to continue supporting one another, exemplifying the lasting impact of Islamic values in Bugiri District.
